Good afternoon Dragons families! 

We have our first swim meet this week!  In preparation for Wednesday's meet, please review the attached flyer - 2022 Dragons Swim Meet Basics. 

On Monday and Tuesday, we will provide the opportunity for swimmers to practice racing starts using the starter system, and we will practice relays. 

Also on Monday and Tuesday, volunteers will have the opportunity to see and practice some hands-on training for RSL meet duties, such as starter, data, clerk of the course, and stroke and turn. 

Wednesday is MEET DAY!  We will be swimming at Eden Estates, which is located at 8361 Cedar Ln, King George, VA 22485.  Their pool is unique - really small - it is 4 lanes and only 20 yards.  (The YMCA is a 25 yard pool.)  Eden Estates will have a cash-only concession stand (hot dogs, pizza, nachos, etc.).

Please plan to arrive at Eden Estates by 5:15 p.m.  Our warm-up time runs from 5:30 to 5:55 p.m.  The younger group, 10 and under, will warm-up first, followed by the 11 and over group. 

Our team will sit together.  Our team area is on the pool deck to the right of the pool when you walk into the gate. 

Swimmer event entries are emailed to the entire team Tuesday evening.  Eden Estates will compile the entries from both teams, and create a heat sheet.  The heat sheet should be available Wednesday morning. 

We are proud of the hard work our Dragons swimmers are putting in.  They will see great improvement between this Wednesday's meet and the end of the season.
